Warning - The Road to Destruction

Forgiveness of Sins

"If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap

to hell over our bodies.

And if they will perish,

let them perish with our arm about their knees,

imploring them to stay.

If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled

in the teeth of our exertions,

and let not one go there unwarned

and unprayed for."

                        -C. H. Spurgeon

"Enter ye in at the strait gate:

for wide is the gate, and broad is the way,

that leadeth to destruction,

and many there be which go in thereat:

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,

which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

                         ~ Matthew 7:13-14

At the crossroad in our lives, each man must decide for himself

where he will spend eternity.

Many have chosen the broad path,

the path of least resistance.

It's picturesque beauty graced with comfort,

uninhibited by the cares of life.

Few have chosen the narrow pathway,

with its jagged edges, and steep cliffs.

Rough and worn, by the way of forgiveness.

Isolated by the comforts of this world.

Tears stain the face of the weary pilgrim,

as he travels onward to his eternal home.

Throwing off everything thing that hinders him,

his eyes focused on the things above.

"Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way, the truth, and the life:

No man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

                      - John 14:6

Yet, God will not enforce His love upon anyone.

A person must receive what Christ has done for him,

by acknowledging the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior

and by placing their faith in Him.

Yet, if you do not believe in the Lord you are going to hell.

There's no pleasant way to say it.

The Scripture says,

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

               ~ Romans 3:23

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,

and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,

thou shalt be saved."

         ~ Romans 10:9

Tonight, if you would like to receive the gift of eternal life

first you must believe in the Lord.

You have to ask for your sins to be forgiven

and put your trust in the Lord.

There's only one way to heaven and that's through the Lord Jesus.

That's God's wonderful plan of salvation.

"O God, I am a sinner.

I'm sorry for my sin.

I want to turn from my sin.

I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior;

I confess Him as my Lord.

From now on I want to follow Him.

Thank you for saving my soul.

In Jesus' name. Amen."

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

                          ~ Romans 10:13

"According as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world..."

                         ~ Ephesians 1:4
