Understanding the Web of Pornography

day6_spiderWeb.jpg (91905 bytes)

Dear soul,

Let me speak to your heart for a moment.

I'm not here to condemn you,

or to judge where you have been.

I understand just how easy

it is to get caught in the web of pornography.

Temptation is everywhere.

It’s an issue that we are all faced with.

Daily we are enticed by what we see on television,

in the movies, and on the internet.

It may seem like a little thing

to look at that which is pleasing to the eye.

The trouble is, looking turns into lusting,

and lusting is a desire that is never satisfied.

…Every man is tempted,

when he is drawn away of his lust, and enticed.

Then when lust hath conceived,

it bringeth forth sin:

And sin, when it is finished,

bringeth forth death.

(James 1:14&15)

Often this is the sequence that draws a soul into pornography.

The scriptures deals with this common issue...

“… I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman

to lust after her

hath committed adultery with her

already in his heart.

And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out,

and cast it from you:

for it is profitable for you

that one of your members should perish,

and not that your whole body should be cast into Hell."

(Matthew 5:28&29)

Dear friend,

Satan knows the temptations we all face.

He uses alluring devices, beautiful images

and seductive thoughts

to entice us into his destructive web.

We become intrigued.

Our interest leads us into a seemingly harmless path,

ensnaring us into the web of pornography.

Shame and guilt holds its tightening grip,

till it becomes a stronghold in our life.

Our freedom is lost.

We face a private battle,

entangled in the web of pornography.

Satan sees our struggle.

He laughs at us delirieously,

"…Art thou become as weak as we?

God’s grace can’t reach you now,

your soul is beyond His reach!”

Many die in its entanglement.

Others question their faith in God.

"Have I wandered too far from His love?

His grace can't reach me now!"

Our weakest moments are when we're lonely.

Enticed by our own lustful thoughts.

We flirt with temptation when we should flee.

"What harm will it do... no one will find out."

we say convincing ourselves.

It's moments of pleasure are dimly lit.

Lonliness sets in, having been deceived.

How much  time have I stolen from my family?

Time I can no longer redeem.

Frustration fills the heart with anger.

Dissatisfied now with the wife of your youth.

The mother of your children

pale in comparision

to the seductive women you fantized with.

They're images... they're not real, dear soul.

They don't even know your name.

With a lowered  value of self worth,

He not so much as lifts his eyes to heaven

but cries out to God for deliverance.

God  picks you  up from the pit you have fallen...

and bathes you in Mercy, cleansing you  from sin.

With surgical hands He frees you  from its entanglement.

His grace stooped lower to hear my cry,

He'll do the same for you.

Dear soul...

I hope you find hope and comfort in these lyrics

“He'll Do Whatever It Takes”

If you have felt His cleansing power

and are in need of  forgiveness.

You can begin healing tonight.

He can free you  from the web of pornography,

if you call out to Him.

The scriptures says,

"If we confess your sins,

He is faithful and just

to forgive us our sins,

and to cleanse us

from all unrighteousness."

(1 John 1:9)

Right now, wherever you are,

you can bow your head,

and commit your life to Christ,

and begin a relationship with Him

by praying a prayer such as the following:

"Oh God, I am sinner. I am sorry for my sins.

Please forgive me. I want to turn from my sin.

I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior;

I confess Him as my Lord.

From now on, I want to follow Him.

In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you have decided to trust Jesus Christ

after reading this invitation,

we would love to hear from you.

(Your first name is sufficient).

Name:

Age (If Desired)

Close your eyes, shut out the world for a few moments.

Feel the cleansing healing power of His love,

as you listen to the lyrics of this song.

May it offer you the hope,

forgiveness and the release that you need.

I assure you of His grace,

for His Grace reached out its hand to me.

“He'll Do Whatever It Takes”

"You don't know just how far
away from home I've been"
She said, as she looked into my eyes.
"Could it be I've strayed beyond
Mercy's outstretched hand
and now His grace no longer stoops to hear my cry.
You see, I just wanna know
tell me how far will he go
will He still reach for me inspite of where I've been?"

And I told her...

(chorus)
He'll do whatever,
whatever it takes
His grace reaches lower than your worst mistakes
And His love will run farther
than you can run away, my friend.
He'll do whatever,
whatever it takes.
He'll do whatever it takes.

I've heard His love is patient
that He always hears a prayer
and that His love will follow you despite the miles
my best years of life I've wasted
Why would He even really care?
What have I to give that He will find worthwhile?
See, I just wanna know
Tell me how far will He go
will He still reach for me inspite of who I am?

Let me tell you...

(chorus)
He'll do whatever, whatever it takes
His grace reaches lower than your worst mistakes.
And His love will run farther
than you can run away, my friend.
He'll do whatever
whatever it takes. He'll do whatever it takes.

He'll just keep reaching
until He finds a way to bring you back where you belong.
Come on back home

(chorus)
He'll do whatever
whatever it takes
His grace reaches lower than your worst mistakes
and His love will run farther
so that you can't run away, my friend
He'll do what ever
whatever it takes
His grace reaches lower than your worst mistake
and His love runs farther
so that you can't run away, my friend
He'll do what ever
whatever it takes
He'll do whatever
whatever it takes.
He'll do whatever it takes
