It's
time to step up and take action.
Anymore,
people think that teenagers are just a bad influence,
are lazy and
aren't capable of much.
They think
that we are a bad influence to society,
and need to
be controlled more.
I'm here to
say that it does not have to be like that.
After reading
segments of the book "Do Hard Things"
by Alex and
Brett Harris,
two teenagers
who took a stand against low exceptions,
I discovered
that there is a rebelation occurring over the world
that is
inspiring teenagers to step out of the regular norm of society
and doing the
right things even if it is hard to do.
I know that
the word "rebelation" may not be in the dictionary
and there's a
good reason for it.
Rebelation is
a combination of the words "rebel" and "revelation"
against low
expectations of society.
As teenagers,
we have low expectations and low consequences
often because
of our age. However, that is not right.
Back before
the 1920's there were no such things as teenagers.
Society was
split into kids and adults.
Adults
starting out around age 13 when they could go to work.
That means
that our age group can be expected to handle responsibilities,
get up and
help change society.
What we need
now most in our lives is inspiration and good role models to look up to.
My question
is, "Why not us?"
We have such
an opportunity to become good role models
to people of
all ages, even people older than us.
What I want
to occur around the world is a rebelation
where people
aren't afraid to share their faith,
where people
can feel comfortable being a Christian and still make a difference.
We may think
that we can't do much at this age, but that is flat out wrong.
W-R-O-N-G. We
can be a generation that makes it cool to do the right thing.
We can be a
generation that encourages others to step out of their comfort zones
and become a
part of the rebelation that helps change society.
Face it, in a
few years, our generation is going to be the most dominant
deciding
factor in many elections and laws.
Wouldn't it
be great if we could use that time
to steer the
world in the right direction towards God!
My goal for
you is to become a part of this world-wide rebelation
and step up
to make a positive impact in the lives of many.
Remember,
true courage is not the absence of fear...
It is
refusing to allow fear to control your actions.

17)
If you would
like to be a Rebelation partner with me,
please let me
know, we'll help change society one teen at a time.
