Prayer

Our nation was built on the belief

that we needed a God in whom we could freely worship.

A God in whom we can put our trust in and give us new life.

The founders of our great nation strongly believed in prayer.

Prayer is communicating with God.

It is giving God time to discuss what's going on in life,

whether it be praises or problems.

Prayer connects people.

It brings about change and miracles.

When 9/11 struck, people automatically begun to pray.

Even those who didn't know God, begun to pray in desperation.

Many times, prayer is what we do when we can do nothing else.

Often, it's too easy to think we have everything under control

until something bad happens in which we can do nothing about.

When hurricane Katrina stuck, people were stunned.

They knew they could do nothing else but to pray.

Sadly, we tend to pray mainly when things are going bad.

It's difficult to humble ourselves and pray in times of prosperity.

During these times we tend to boast about ourselves

claiming that everything is great because of what we did.

We don't tend to give God the credit he deserves.

The world is always going to have problems.

Natural disasters will always strike,

there will always be wars,

and people are going to die.

What we need to to is to rise together in prayer,

and ask for God's mercy and care.

Miracles do happen.

I have seen God perform countless miracles

in my lifetime and I'm only 17!

God is waiting and wanting to mend our wounds.

To heal His people and their land.

However, He wants us to come to Him,

to humble ourselves and pray.

"Life is fragile, handle with prayer."

My challenge to you is to pray

and see what God can really do.

With prayers comes peace, strength, love

and a sense of purpose.

Just Pray.

                         -Tim

"If My people, which are called by my name,

shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,

and turn from their wicked ways;

then I will hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.

                       ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14

Won't you join me in this challenge for our nation?

Right now, wherever you are

you can bow your head, and commit your life to Christ.

You can begin a personal relationship with Him

by praying from your heart a prayer such as the following:

"Oh God, I'm a sinner.

I've been a sinner all of my life.

Forgive me, Lord.

I receive Jesus as my Savior.

I trust Him as my Lord.

Thank you for saving me.

In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you have received the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior

after reading this invitation, please let us know.

We would love to hear from you. Your first name is sufficient.

"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved"

Welcome to the family of God!

We are excited about your decision to accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior,

and encourage you to find a church that you could be a part of

to help you grow in your new walk with Him.

Also, we encourage you to develop a personal relationship with the Lord

by reading the Scriptures and praying to Him often.

Talk to Him as you would talk to a dearest friend.

He desires that closeness and intimacy with you!

"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd:

he shall gather the lambs with his arm,

and carry them in his bosom,

and gently lead those that are with young."

                 ~ Isaiah 40:11
