Precious soul,
I understand your thoughts.
Your ways are known to Me.
It hurts Me to see you feel so isolated,
so all alone.
I care so much for you.
Jesus, the friend of sinners.
I have come that you might have life
and have it more abundantly.
I have plans to prosper you
and not to harm you.
Plans to give you hope and a future.
Sometimes I see your defeat
in the stooping of your shoulders,
as you walk down that lonesome hall.
How I long to reach out to you,
to give you comfort.
You are precious to Me.
Through the years I have watched you
as you sit there on death row,
waiting to pay for the sin of your past.
With each clanging of the prision bars
closing in behind you
you shiver at its coldness.
You cry out to Me again for mercy,
even though I have forgiven you.
The first time that you asked.
Your unworthiness makes you worthy
to come boldly before the throne of grace.
"For the sacrifices of God
are a broken sprit:
a broken and corntrite heart,
O God, Thou wilt not despise."
Although you must pay with your life
for the life you took,
you need not to bear its shame.
Tears of regret will never ease the pain,
that is spoken in your eyes.
I have taken your sin from you child
and nailed it to the cross.
As far as the east is from the west,
never to be remembered again.
Those who put their faith in Me,
I will take them Home to glory.
When it's time the guards come for you,
and you must walk that last stretch of the mile.
Don't be afraid, precious child.
For In that darkest hour
when you hear one set of footsteps
in the hall,
it is then, that I'll carry you.
Dear Soul,
We all have battles we must face.
Maybe you haven't murdered anyone
or your'e not living on death row.
But tonight some of you
are living in a prision of their own.
Maybe dear soul, you feel the shame
of wearing the scarlet letter.
You've grown tired of hearing
the whispering behind your back,
as you face the battle alone.
Reach out your hand
and touch the hem of His garment
Your faith will make you whole.
Maybe some of you have stolen money,
or have gambled your family's finances away.
You feel so disappointed in yourself,
but look to Jesus, He is the restorer of your faith.
O fallen sinner, Look to Jesus.
He is the author and finisher of your faith.
Though chains of your past
may weigh you down.
Give Him your failures.
Your past mistakes.
He can use them for your good,
and His glory, for those who love Him.
Right now, whereever you are
you can bow your head,
and commit life to Christ.
You can begin a relationship with Him
by praying a prayer such as the following:
"Oh God, I am sinner.
I am sorry for my sins.
Please forgive me.
I want to turn from my sin.
I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior;
I confess Him as my Lord.
From now on, I want to follow Him.
In Jesus' name, Amen."
